Connect Google Health

  1. Install the Google Health app on your phone and sign in with your Google Account. If you have an older Fitbit account, follow the app's steps to move it to your Google Account. You only need to do this once.
  2. Open Sync Solver and tap Connect Google Health.
  3. Choose the same Google Account and allow the kinds of data you want to sync.
  4. Allow Sync Solver to write to Apple Health when iOS asks.

The first sync can take a few minutes because it copies your history.

"Your Google Account isn't linked to Google Health yet"

This means the Google Account you picked doesn't have a Google Health profile. Open the Google Health app, sign in with that Google Account and finish setting up your profile (or move your Fitbit account to it), then come back to Sync Solver and tap Connect again. Google's help: fitbit.google.com/auth/signup.

Some data types don't sync

On Google's permission screen you can switch off individual kinds of data. Sync Solver only syncs what you allowed. To change your choice, tap Google Health at the top left of Sync Solver's main screen and tap Allow missing permissions. Also check that Sync Solver may write each data type to Apple Health: in the Health app, tap your profile picture, then Apps > Sync Solver.

Switching from the old Fitbit sign-in

Google is turning off the old Fitbit Web API on October 30, 2026. If you connected Sync Solver with a Fitbit login, update the app, tap Switch to Google sign-in on the main screen and sign in with your Google Account. Your sync history and settings stay as they are, and Sync Solver fills in any days you missed. When the switch succeeds, the app signs out of the old Fitbit connection for you.

Early access while Google reviews Sync Solver

Google checks every app that reads Google Health data before it opens to everyone. Until Google finishes its review of Sync Solver, Google only lets accounts on our early-access list connect, and the list is small. Pro members can ask to join: in the app, tap Request early access, or email syncsolver@appholdings.org with the Google Account you use in the Google Health app. We email you when your account is added; then tap I'm invited, continue. Everyone else can connect as soon as Google's review is done, with no app update needed.

Disconnect

Tap Google Health at the top left of Sync Solver's main screen, then tap Disconnect. Sync Solver revokes its access to your Google Health data and stops syncing, and asks whether to keep or delete the data it already copied to Apple Health. You can also remove access from your Google Account at myaccount.google.com/connections.

Background sync

iOS decides when apps refresh in the background. Keep Background App Refresh on for Sync Solver (Settings > General > Background App Refresh) and open the app now and then; iOS refreshes apps you use more often.

Purchases

Purchases are handled by Apple. To restore a purchase on a new iPhone, open the upgrade screen in Sync Solver and tap Restore. To cancel a subscription, open Settings > your name > Subscriptions.
